Every roll in our range
- Paintback® recycled backingFrom October 2025
Through APT's partnership with Paintback, turf backing now includes around 10% recycled content from recovered paint — a change APT calls a world-first for the industry, with no change to any warranty.
- Australian-made yarn
APT states it is the only manufacturer making synthetic-turf yarn in Australia, and that its yarn has been through 25 years of continuous exposure testing at the NATA-accredited Allunga Exposure Laboratory in Townsville. The yarn itself is extruded in Melbourne.
- Free-draining backingUp to ~2,000mm/hour
The punch-hole backing drains up to around 2,000mm of water per hour in the manufacturer's testing — a summer downpour, or a hose-down of the dog's corner, runs straight through.
- Fire tested
Every turf in our range is tested to AS/ISO 9239.1-2003, the radiant-panel fire test for flooring.
Performance figures are manufacturer-tested maximums. The full story: why Australian-made matters.

Frequently asked questions
- Is the price per square metre the full price?
- The per m² price includes GST. Your total is that rate multiplied by the length you choose, plus a $55.00 cutting fee on any length shorter than a full roll, plus delivery shown before you pay. A full-roll order has no cutting fee.
- Does the price include installation?
- No. We supply the turf, and laying it is up to you or your landscaper. Professional installation in Australia typically adds about $30-70 per m² on top of the turf, and our how to lay artificial turf guide walks through doing it yourself.
- What is the minimum order, and how wide are the rolls?
- Rolls are 3.71m wide, in the fixed lengths listed on this page, from a 5m minimum up to a full 20m roll. A length shorter than a full roll carries a cutting fee, shown before you pay. Areas wider than one roll are laid in strips and joined underneath with seaming tape; done properly the join disappears into the pile.
- Do I need sand infill?
- For most lawns, yes. Kiln-dried silica sand brushed into the pile holds the blades upright, protects the backing and keeps the turf sitting flat; allow roughly 8-12 kg per m² depending on pile height. It isn't included with the turf and any landscape supplier stocks it.
- How long does delivery take?
- Delivery is a flat $49.00 Australia-wide, shipped direct from the supplier. We confirm the dispatch date by email once your order is placed.
- Is this turf suitable for dogs?
- Yes, and a 25-35mm pile is the band most dog yards end up in: it looks like lawn, cleans easily and springs back from daily traffic. Pair it with a free-draining base and a weekly hose-down of the toilet zone. See our turf for dogs and pets page for the full spec.
